Munishwaram Temple is believed that Munishwaram predates the Ramayana and a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva was located here. Munishwaram means the first temple for Shiva (Munnu + Easwaran). Manavari Temple is the first lingam installed and prayed by Rama and till date this lingam is called as Ramalinga Shivan. Rameshwaram is the only other lingam in the world named after Lord Rama. After breakfast leave for Trincomalee. Visit hot water spring wells. Afterwards visit the Thirukoneshwaram Kovil built by the sage Agasthyar as per the instructions of Lord Shiva who was impressed by the devotion of King Ravana. Sigiriya is a 650 feet high rock fortress in the sky, a masterpiece of construction, artistry irrigation (5th Century AD),the world famous frescos painting of heavenly maidens are housed in a cave. After checking out from the hotel,travel deeper into the tea-growing hills and have the option to wind through the mountains with magnificent views. En-route to Nuwara Eliya,you will visit Sri Baktha Hanuman Temple. After breakfast depart for Yala. Visit Sitha Eliya Sita Amman temple where the prominent temple architecture will not fail to attract your attention. Ancient statues of Rama and Sita can be seen on one side of the temple. The temple today is a modern building with its painting, statues and pillars decorated with sculptures, all depicting the tale of Rama and Sita.Visit Asoka Vathika.Visit divurumpola.(This is the place where Sita Devi underwent Agni Pariksha.) Ravana cave, Ravana waterfall, Ella gap. Overnight stay in Yala.
Early morning,leave to Yala National Park for a Wildlife Safari.One of the island's most popular wildlife parks where you could see almost all animals which are found in Sri Lanka. Spend your leisure time by the hotel poolside and overnight stay in Yala.
